What a wonderful experience it was to create this painting for a fellow ‘furbaby momma’ 🙂 . Angels surround us everyday; those close connections, whether they be human or beloved pets, comfort us from the other side — they never leave us. Like Joanna mentions below, each new spirit we welcome into our home only adds to the love that fills our homes and family. Memories help us to never forget, they comfort us, and they help us look forward to the future 🙂 .

“Sadey helped us see that happiness is spending time with those you love. It is the little simple things in life that are the big and most important things….

Today I smiled when I thought of you.
15 years just seems so few
It feels like yesterday I took you home
To save you so you were not alone
You became my companion and my friend
Loving with no judgment until the endI have cried many tears
Wishing I could bring back those years
Today I smiled because I had that time
Memories that will always be mine

It is the simple and small things
And the joy that each day brings
Today I smiled because I can finally see
That you want happiness for me.

My heart is big enough to love another,
And I know it was you that helped us find her.
So, “Who rescued who,” you say?
The answer is very clear today.

We love to go to our family cabin and spend time together with our dogs. This time spent means more than anything money can buy. These memories are precious and have helped us heal. This picture is of that cabin and a picture of hope.

These memories are precious and have helped us heal… The time we had is ours to keep and we can honor them by helping another.

“Our hearts are big enough to love other dogs even when the loss feels so great. We don’t have to forget about them. The time we had is ours to keep and we can honor them by helping another. We know our angel Sadey helped us find Madi. And Madi has helped all of us heal. We miss her but know we will see her again. She is now our little angel helping us along our way.

“Time spent with those who you love is everything. The every day little things are what matters and that is what she helped us see. And this is one of those precious memories you brought to life. Thank you!!”
