Close Up – Detail

The days are just a handful now until we know who will be our president for the next 4 (maybe 8) years. It’s been a rough road, but I am impressed by Romney’s hard work and proven history. I consider myself a moderate and try my best to be open minded whether the candidate be Republican or Democrat. I hope for the best for Mitt Romney in the upcoming debates, and wish him well on election day. Bottom line, whoever becomes the elected president of the United States, I hope and pray they can improve America’s economy for the better soon! Here is my painting of Mitt Romney… up next, I’ll be creating a painting of President Barack Obama. 🙂

About the Artist

I’m an artist, author, and poet. My work is often shaped by lived experiences and by paying close attention to the world around me… nature, and the people who have helped shape my life.

I usually paint first, and the words come later. Painting has been the safest way I’ve found to be honest about things that are hard to say out loud, and over time I’ve noticed other people finding their own stories in the work too.

My paintings are meant to comfort, to feel like a presence rather than a statement, and to give space for each person to find their own meaning. The connection that happens there matters most to me.
