In addition to portrait painting and illustration art, I take on commission work for those who have lost a beloved pet or desire to have a portrait done of one they love who hasn’t necessarily passed away. I have always been an animal lover, I know what it means to have “furbabies” when you don’t have or are unable to have ‘human babies’ 😉 . The desire to love and to nurture and take care of, is innate in all of us. To have a little one who needs you and is always happy to see you is a treasured feeling. That is one reason why it’s heart-breaking to have that little one pass away and leave you with an empty room full of memories. This is one reason why I offer to create a pet portrait for those who have aching hearts, and wish to have a memory to treasure forever.
