Art Commissions: Missionaries in Heaven

I just completed another sketched memory, a dream that was had where this little angel was all grown up, serving up in Heaven as a missionary – serving alongside his uncle. 🙂 I deeply appreciate being given the honor of painting & sketching memories for others. I feel it is privilege and sacred thing to bring to life what others hold close to their heart – a treasured memory to never be forgotten. ♥ I have no doubt that the work doesn’t end here in this earthly life. Our existence does not just expire – but lives on after this life. Our Heavenly parents desire to have us all return home, and will never give up on us. ‘No man left behind’ is meaningful here as well as up in Heaven. 🙂

I’m an artist, author, and poet. My work is often shaped by lived experiences and by paying close attention to the world around me… nature, and the people who have helped shape my life.

I usually paint first, and the words come later. Painting has been the safest way I’ve found to be honest about things that are hard to say out loud, and over time I’ve noticed other people finding their own stories in the work too.

My paintings are meant to comfort, to feel like a presence rather than a statement, and to give space for each person to find their own meaning. The connection that happens there matters most to me.
