The moon parts the darkness despite how whole it feels. “I won’t let you rest alone” it says. Even in a faded glow, it shows up for the earth, to give it hope. The belly of the earth burns to share its story, blooming and branching out to display its support in gratitude for the strength of the sun, and relief for the moons vulnerable glow. Fading further in the darkness is an audience of stars, quietly, and reverently, shining forth their own light. “Me too” they say, one by one, taking their turn to bravely show up.
